This inspection was conducted by staff using an alternative remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. An on-site inspection of the home was not conducted at this time.
An announced subsidy inspection was conducted at 2:00pm. The vendor was contacted by phone to initiate the inspection, and emailed a list of items required to complete the inspection. There were no children present during the inspection, and the vendor reported that although the daycare has remained open, there have been no children in attendance since mid-March. Information gathered during the inspection determined there were areas of non-compliance with applicable standards or laws reviewed. Standard #: 22VAC40-665-230-H Description: Based on records reviewed, it was determined that the vendor did not complete a training course by the required deadline. Evidence: The vendor was required to complete the Virginia Annual Health + Safety Training course by 3/1/20. The training completion certification submitted by the vendor was dated 11/26/20, the same date training verification was requested by the inspector. Plan of Correction: The training has now been completed. In the future the vendor will complete required training by due dates.
