An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on 2/9/26 and completed on the same day, as a part of licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 10:00 and ended at 11:30. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 13 children present in the preschool program with 3 teachers. 6 children were present in the school age program with 1 teacher.The inspector reviewed 4 children?s records and 2 staff members records on-site.
This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-510-I Description: The center may administer prescription medication that would normally be administered by a parent or guardian to a child provided the center has an authorization to give the medication and that medication has the prescription label, are in the original box with the name of the child as well as the dose.
The center has a child that is taking a medication, the parents bring the medication in syringes, no needles, premeasured. With a separate syringe with chocolate flavoring. The medication is not in the original container and does not have the name of the child or the dose.
The authorization for the medication is for Loudoun county public schools so it does if authorization for the staff to give the medication.Plan of Correction: I will ask the parents to bring in the medication in the original bottle and also ask them to fill out the correct paperwork for medication authorization.
