During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. Technical Assistance:
Beginning February 1, 2026, licensed child day programs, licensed family day systems, and voluntarily registered family day homes shall refer to Chapter 8VAC20-821, General Procedures for the Licensure of Child Day Programs and Family Day Systems and Background Checks. This chapter replaces 8VAC20-770, Background Checks for Child Day Programs and Family Day Systems; 8VAC20-820, General Procedures and Information for Licensure; and 8VAC20-830, Fee Requirements for Processing Applications. Comments:
An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated on 02/18/2026 and completed on 02/18/2026. The on-site inspection began at 11:00 am and ended at 1:20 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above.There were 98 children present and 13 staff. The inspector reviewed 10 children?s records and 9 staff/board member records on-site. This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined noncompliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Violations:
Standard #: 22.1-289.036-A
Description: The center requires an agent of an applicant for licensure to undergo a background check every five years. The most recent fingerprint background check for Agent #3 was overdue by a year and 19 days.

Plan of Correction: Director immediately reached out to Agent to complete the background check and will review all the other agents to ensure they do not expire again.
