Standard #: 22VAC40-665-520-B-11 Description: Based on record review and discussion with the staff, the facility failed to obtain a written allergy care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction. Evidence: The record for Child #2 contained documentation of a diagnosed food allergy. There was not a written allergy care plan on site for Child #2. Plan of Correction: The parent was contacted during the inspection and stated the allergy no longer exists. The staff asked the parent to update the records.
