Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced monitoring inspection which was conducted today, July 10, 2019. The inspection was held from 11:40 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. On this date, there were 36 children in the care of six staff members with one extra staff member available to assist if needed. There were a total of 39 children enrolled in the camp this week. It was "Water Week" and the children enjoyed playing water games and with water balloons. Five children's records were reviewed. The medication and medication paperwork were reviewed for three children. Observations were made in all groupings of children. Four staff members and three children were interviewed. Staff records were reviewed at the Staunton-Augusta YMCA administration office on 06/06/2019, and staffing had not changed since that time. There were no violations of the licensing standards. Some of the items reviewed and observed included: sunscreens and sunscreen authorization forms, first aid kit and emergency supplies, documentation of evacuation and lock down drills, required posted information, transitions, application of sunscreen, behavior guidance, lunch, afternoon snack, and bathroom and handwashing procedures. Please contact your licensing inspector, Diann Reed, if you have questions concerning this inspection, the licensing standards, and/or if I may be of assistance to you (540) 280-0742.

In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information.
