Discussed background checks and left the sworn statement or affirmation form, the Central registry form and the memo regarding fingerprinting from 8/6/2018. Discussed building use form , the center has requested an increase of the capacity from 15 children to 30 children and will need paperwork from the Loudoun county building official to get the increased capacity.

An annual CCE inspection was conducted on today's date. The center has 13 children in care with 4 classroom staff. All groupings are in ratio. The center has rooms with lots of space and supplies for the children to explore. Observed the children playing vet, painting, playing on the playground building with circuits, and building with blocks . One room has a space command center with lots of different space exploration going on. For lunch the pre-k children bring their own food from home. The preschool children have snack during the day also brought from home. Interaction between staff and children observed in all the groupings. Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-C-2 Description: Based on the review of the center staff paperwork it was determined that the center failed to get the correct background searches for the staff. Evidence: All staff have background checks done by Screening One but the staff does not have the central registry search or sworn disclosure statement in the files. Plan of Correction: We will make sure we submit the correct background searches, we thought we had done what was needed by using the company to conduct the background checks.
Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-B-2 Description: Based on the review of 4 staff files it was determined that the center failed to conduct the fingerprinting required for all staff. Evidence: Based on the review of 4 staff records , the center has conducted background checks from Screening One but has not done the fingerprinting required by the state of Virginia. Plan of Correction: We will schedule staff to get the fingerprinting done as soon as possible
