An annual CCE inspection was conducted on today's date. The center has 52 children in care with 10 classroom staff in 4 groupings. All groupings are in ratio. The center has rooms with lots of space and supplies for the children to explore. Observed the children having having free play, playing with building blocks, having snack , singing and playing outside. For snack the parents takes turns and bring snack for a week at a time, the school is nut free and snacks are checked by the director. Interaction between staff and children observed in all the groupings. This inspection was started at 10:40 and ended at 12:00. Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-C-2 Description: Based on the review of the ten center staff files it was determined that the center failed to get some of the required staff background searches. Evidence: All staff are missing sworn disclosure statements and central registry checks . Plan of Correction: I will make sure all staff get the paperwork and that it is submitted by end of next week or sooner.
Standard #: 63.2(17)-1716-A-6 Description: Based on the review of the parent handbook and interview with the director , it was determined that some of the information required by code to be given to the parents and the general public is missing from the document. Evidence: After review of the handbook and any other posting at the center the following information is not available to the parents or the general public: That the center is exempt from licensure, qualification of personnel, Health requirements for staff and that the center is covered by public liability insurance. Plan of Correction: We will add this to the handbook and send out a, email stating the info.
