An annual CCE subsidy was conducted on today's date. The center has 148 children in care with 24 staff. All groupings are in ratio. The center has rooms with lots of space and supplies for the children to explore. Observed the children having circle time, working on surprises , practicing a play , having music and playing outside. Morning snack is brought in form home, parents take turns. Some children bring lunch if the are here until 1:30. Interaction between staff and children observed in all the groupings. Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-C-2 Description: Based on the review of the center staff paperwork it was determined that the center failed to get Central registry searches done for all 32 staff. Evidence: All staff are missing the Central registry check. Plan of Correction: We will send in all the forms asap, we were under the impression that we had fulfilled the requirement when we did the OBI checks.
Standard #: 63.2(17)-1716-A Description: Based on the review of the parent handbook , the center is missing some information required to be disclosed to parents. Evidence: Based on the review of the parent handbook and the interview with the director and assistant director it was determined that the center does not have the information regarding the qualifications of the staff in the handbook. Plan of Correction: We will add this to next years handbook.
Standard #: 63.2(17)-1716-A-6 Description: Based on interview with staff and review of paperwork it was determined that the center failed to disclose some information needed to parents and the general public. Evidence: The health requirements for staff and public liability insurance information is not included in the paperwork for the parents. Plan of Correction: I will add this to the new handbook.
