An annual RECDC inspection was conducted on today's date. The center has 12 children in care with 3 classroom staff. grouping is in ratio. The center has rooms with lots of space and supplies for the children to explore. Observed the children working on building shapes out of duplos using a patter, drawing letters and numbers and having free play. The children bring snack from home. Interaction between staff and children observed during the inspection. Please call me at 703-203-8659 if you have any questions regarding this inspection. Standard #: 63.2(17)-1716-A Description: Based on the review of the required information disclosed to parents the RECDC failed to provide two of the needed items. Evidence: The center failed to include the the statement about being religiously exempt and also that the religious exempt was posted in a visible location in the facility. Plan of Correction: We will post the exempt letter in the area used for child care. ( fixed during the inspection.)
Standard #: 63.2(17)-1716-A-6 Description: Based on the review of the information given to the parents and public, the RECDC failed to have some of the required information available. Evidence: The following items must be added to teh information given to the parents and the public. - Physical facility -Enrollment capacity -public liability insurance Plan of Correction: I will add this to our parent handbook and also send out an addendum to parents. I will discuss adding all of this to our web site.
