An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10:45 am- 12:15pm. There were 45 children ages 3-5 directly supervised by 7 staff. Children were observed participating in dress up, riding scooters, playing with play dough, playing on the playground and singing the "Right hand on the railing" song as they were in transition from the classroom to go outside. Hand washing, self care routines were observed/ discussed and opportunities to identify emotions and "calming corners" were available as part of the daily routine as needed. The dismissal process was also observed as children ended their day. Staff had required training in mandated reporting, daily health observation and e- MAT training as needed.
