An unannounced inspection was conducted from 815- 925. Inspector arrived before children began to arrive and reviewed paperwork with the Director. Arrivals were also observed and the programs were all in ratio. At the end of the inspection, there were 34 children ( 24 months- 5 years) with 10 staff. Medication procedures, parent disclosures, and immunizations were also reviewed. Please call with questions 703-479-4679

Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-2 Description: Based on interview and record review, it was determined the program had not obtained, for the staff, a Search of central registry within 30 days of employment.
Evidence:
1. Inspector requested to review the background clearances for the staff. The program had Sworn Disclosure Statements and Finger print searches. The Program did not have completed Search of Central Registry checks on file for all the staff.
2. Director stated they had not conducted those checks.Plan of Correction: We will have all staff complete the forms and send off by the following week.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-580-K Description: Based on interview and staff interview, there was no one currently present who has obtained within the last three years instruction in performing a daily health observation of children.
Evidence:
1. Staff records show staff have received instruction in daily health screening but all were conducted over three years ago.Plan of Correction: We will complete the training within the next month.
