An annual RECDC inspection was conducted on today's date. The center has 52 children in care with 9 classroom staff in 4 groupings. All groupings are in ratio. The center has rooms with lots of space and supplies for the children to explore. Observed the children having music time,making a campfire and playing with a tepee in dramatic play and playing outside. The center has an outdoor classroom as well as a large playground in the woods.The children bring their snack from home and lunch when they use lunch bunch. Interaction between staff and children observed in all the groupings. This inspection was started at 10:00 and ended at 11:45. Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-A Description: Based on the review of a sampling of the 8 staff files, it was determined that the center failed to get updated sworn disclosure statements for some of the staff.
Evidence: 5 out of 8 staff do not have sworn disclosure statements that have been done in the last 5 years. The staffs sworn disclosure statements were done between 2004 and 2012. Staff missing updated sworn disclosures: staff A, C,D,G and H.Plan of Correction: I will make sure the staff fill out new sworn disclosure statements tonight at our staff meeting.
