This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
An annual RECDC inspection was initiated on 3/15/21 and concluded on 3/18/2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 37 children present and 11 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 4 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined a non-compliance with applicable or law and code violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-B-4 Description: Based on the review of 4 staff records , the center failed to have completed CPS checks done for two staff after 30 days of employment.
Evidence: Based on the review of four staff records, staff 3 and 4 are missing the completed child protective service checks. The staff has been at the center for more than 30 days. The center sent the CPS checks but does not have the letter of completion back from CPS.Plan of Correction: I will contact CPS and get the completed checks.
