This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A code compliance inspection was initiated and concluded on 4/30/2021). The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were (44) children present and (7) staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed (3) staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable code sections and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-2 Description: Based on interview and review of three staff records, the center did not obtain a central registry report within 30 days of employment of a staff member.
Evidence:
1. Staff #2 began at the facility on 1/02/2018 and the religious exempt child care center did not have a copy of the central registry results in the staff's file.Plan of Correction: I will reach to Central Registry again if I don't hear back Monday. If we don't hear back, we will send in a new CR request by Tuesday May 11th since this employee is out of town through Friday May 7th.
