Consultation was given on reporting serious injuries to DOE. A link to the DOE website was included with paperwork.
The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) assumed oversight of child care licensing and monitoring on July 1, 2021. All associated regulations and codes have transferred over from the Virginia Department of Social Services.

A code compliance inspection was conducted today using a remote protocol. The Director was contacted using FaceTime. A review of staff background checks, health reports, and inspections for fire and sanitation were submitted with the exemption paperwork. The program operates both a preschool program as well a before and after school session. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Evidence:
Staff #1's date of hire was 09/13/2021 and the fingerprint letter is dated 09/14/2021.
Staff #2's date of hire was 09/08/2021 and the fingerprint letter is dated 09/29/2021.
Staff #3's date of hire was 08/20/2021 and the fingerprint letter is dated 08/23/2021.Plan of Correction: Moving forward, paperwork will not be completed until the completed fingerprint determination letter is received.
