Comments:
An unannounced inspection was conducted today from approximately 3:30 to 4:30pm in response to a complaint concerning caregiver to child ratios. Twelve children, totaling 33 points, were present with the provider and one assistant. Based on the point system, two caregivers may not exceed 32 points. Therefore, the complaint is valid, and a Violation Notice will be issued. If you have any questions, I can be reached at 703-479-4709.

Description: Based on observation and record review, the provider did not ensure that each caregiver does not exceed 16 points by using the point system to determine if an additional caregiver is needed. Findings: At the time of the inspection, the inspector observed 12 children, totaling 33 points, present with the provider and one assistant.

Plan of Correction: The provider will ensure, by using the point system, that each caregiver does not exceed 16 points.
