- Technical Assistance:
Although there are no specific requirements regarding the amount of time one should take to evacuate for monthly fire drills, I would suggest you work on evacuating the children more quickly than what you are currently doing. The findings for the most recent inspection must be kept posted.
An unannounced renewal study was conducted today. The provider was present with five children for a total of 10 points. Four of the five children were awake at the beginning of the inspection. For lunch, the children were provided rice, fish, mixed vegetables and milk. Five children's files were reviewed as well as household member's files. Arrival time : 2:15 pm Departure time: 3:30 pm
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-B Description: Based on an interview with the provider, it was determined that the provider has not conducted two shelter-in-place procedures twice a year. Evidence: The provider has not been conducted shelter in place drills for 2014 and has yet to do any in 2015. Plan of Correction: I forgot I had to do shelter-in-place drills. I will make sure to do two drills a year. I will do my first drill by mid-August 2015.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-920 Description: Based on observation and an interview with the provider, it was determined that a menu for the current one-week period was not posted or provided to parents. Evidence: There was no menu posted or given to the parents during the current week. Plan of Correction: I will make sure to post a weekly menu.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-210-A Description: Based on a review of documentation and an interview with the provider, it was determined that the provider has not obtained 16 hours of annual training. Evidence: The provider has 11.5 of the required 16 hours of annual training for 2014. Plan of Correction: I have taken training and will continue to look for and take the required training to obtain 16 hours and then I will work on the training hours for 2015.
