Cribs must be used for children under 12 months of age,

Comments:
Unannounced renewal inspection was conducted beginning at 1:00 and ending at 2:30. There were 4 children in care ages 5, 3, 2 and 8 months. Children were observed playing at the table after their lunch. The baby was sitting with the provider. Reviewed the files for all four children - complete Provider's file was reviewed - complete Emergency escape drills and shelter in place drills are up to date. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-520-A
Description: Based on observation, it was determined that there was no crib in the Family Day Home. Evidence: There is no crib available for the 8 month old in care. The provider has ordered it but is currently using a cradle.

Plan of Correction: The cribs should be arriving this week.
