Today's visit was a renewal inspection. The inspection began at 11:30am and concluded 2:45pm. There were ten children in care with three caregivers and a total of twenty-one points. During the inspection three out of eleven children's records were reviewed, the record for one adult household member was reviewed, two out of three caregiver's records were reviewed, the outdoor play area was viewed, lunch time was observed, nap time was observed, and some policies and procedures were reviewed. Your renewal application has been received in the office, once it has been deemed complete and today's inspection is complete, a recommendation regarding your license can be made. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-210-A Description: Based on a review of two out three caregiver records, the licensee failed to ensure an assistant had sixteen hours of annual training. Evidence: Staff member number #2 with an start date of 6/30/14 completed twelve hours of annual training. Currently sixteen hours of annual training are required for caregivers. Plan of Correction: The licensee will ensure all caregivers complete sixteen hours of annual training each year.
