63.2 Liability Insurance Disclosure
54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. Nine children were present with the provider and assistant. Total 23 points. The children were playing inside, watching Nick Jr. on TV, and eating lunch. One child is new since the last inspection. Her record was checked today. The provider has current MAT certification but is not administering any medication at this time. As we discussed, remember to write all substitutions on the menu. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-70-A Description: Based on record review, there was no documentation that the parent of Child #1 was provided the family day home's written policy for the administration of medication. Plan of Correction: This child's last day in care is tomorrow.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-240-A Description: Based on observation, the provider did not ensure that the outside play area was maintained in a safe condition. Findings: At the time of the inspection, the inspector observed a tall wooden post with part of a metal disk attached, leaning against the fence in the outside play area. Plan of Correction: The wooden post will be removed today.
