- Technical Assistance:
A caregiver's own children and resident children under eight years of age count in point maximums. Make sure you do and document two shelter in place drills per year, you should do your first one this month as its been almost six months since you have been open.
An unannounced renewal study was conducted today with the provider who was present with an assistant and 6 day care children and one residential child for a total of 20 points. The children were eating their afternoon snack at the beginning of the inspection. There was one new enrollee since the last inspection and that file was reviewed and determined to be in compliance. The provider does not administer medication, nor does she transport the children. All food is brought from home. Arrival time: 2:40 pm Departure time: 3:45
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-680-B Description: Based on observation, it was determined that the children failed to wash their hands after eating their afternoon snack. Evidence: The Licensing Inspector observed children finishing snack and failing to wash their hands. Plan of Correction: I will make sure that the children wash their hands after snack.
