An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. The provider was not caring for any children at the time of this inspection, however, one child is registered to begin enrollment very soon. This inspection was conducted based on a review of enrolled children's records and observations of the physical plant. This inspection was completed between approximately 9:45 am and 10:30 am. Thank you for meeting with me today. If you have any questions regarding this inspection please email me at

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-320-B
Description: Based on observations, it was determined that one electrical outlet was not covered. Evidence: One electrical outlet on the wall in the child care room was not covered.

Plan of Correction: The outlet was covered during the inspection.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-480-D
Description: Based on observations, it was determined that one piece of equipment has not been maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Evidence: One portable high chair seat was on the floor in the child care room. This high chair seat is designed to be used only when securely strapped to a full size chair. However, the strap that would be used to secure the high chair to a full size chair is missing.

Plan of Correction: I will get rid of the high chair seat.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-690-D
Description: Based on observations, it was determined that the provider does not have an acceptable cleaning agent to use on the diaper changing pad. Evidence: The provider does not have a soap and water solution to use to clean the diaper changing pad in between each use. The provider only uses a spray solution of bleach/water.

Plan of Correction: I will mix a spray bottle of soap and water to use before I spray the changing pad with the bleach/water solution.

A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.

The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.

Virginia Quality is a voluntary quality rating and improvement system for early care and education facilities serving children ages birth through pre-K. Eligible child care facilities must be fully licensed, licensed exempt and a VDSS subsidy vendor, or a voluntary registered day home and a VDSS subsidy vendor. Only programs enrolled in Virginia Quality will display a rating. Virginia Quality contact information for your region is available at the following link Regional Contacts.
