An initial licensing inspection was conducted on November 24, 2015, by appointment, between the hours of approximately 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The home and outdoor play area were toured and children's play/learning materials and toys were observed. There were no children enrolled or in care on this date. All applicable areas of the licensing standards were observed/reviewed, including but not limited to, home maintenance/childproofing, infant crib, stairway gate, landline telephone, first aid kit and emergency supplies, posted information (daily schedule, emergency telephone numbers, menu and emergency evacuation diagram), available records/documents/policies and caregiver/assistant/household member records (background clearances and training - first aid/cardiopulmonary resuscitation). Follow-up was completed on January 26, 2016, by appointment, between the hours of approximately 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. There were no children enrolled or in care on this date. The caregiver's record, assistant's record and one household member's record were updated. Animal records, first aid/emergency supplies and posted information were reviewed/observed. No violations of licensing standards were cited during this initial inspection. A recommendation will be made for the issuance of a Conditional family day home license with a capacity of twelve (12) children and an age range of birth through twelve (12) years.
