An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on Friday, January 29, 2016, from approximately 12:15pm until 1:45pm. Present today were four children totaling twelve points with two caregivers. The children were preparing for lunch by first washing their hands. They discussed activities with the licensing inspector that had been reviewed today. These included directions such as left and right and reverse, and letters of the alphabet. The children responded to the caregivers with the terms "please" and "thank you". Lunch: beef sliced hotdogs, bread, vegetarian beans, pears, and milk Five children's records were inspected. Caregiver records are up to date. Both caregivers are currently certified in first aid and CPR.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-C Description: Based on review of documentation and conversations, the provider did not ensure monthly practice evacuation drills. Evidence: The provider conducted a practice shelter-in-place drill during the month of October 2015, however, did not conduct the monthly required evacuation drill. Plan of Correction: Per Provider: I will add a visual reminder on the monthly calendar.
