An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted February 26, 2016 from approximately 11:20am to 1:40pm to determine the provider's compliance with licensing standards. Two caregivers were observed supervising the children. The provider?s home has three primary rooms for the children to use along with a bathroom. Children were observed eating lunch. Lunch consisted of hot dogs with buns, sweet potato fries, fruit and milk. After lunch the children were observed playing with toys, singing songs, watching children?s programs on T.V. and transitioning into nap time. Caregivers? were observed engaging children in conversations. The infant in care was observed being held and fed.
During the inspection the emergency preparedness plan, emergency drills and emergency supplies were inspected including the first aid kit, flashlight, and weather band radio. The provider stated during the inspection, medication is not administered. Transportation is not being provided at this time. Two children's and two caregivers? records were reviewed during the inspection. If you have any questions regarding today's inspection, contact the licensing inspector, Lynn Powers at (804) 662-9790.
