Technical Assistance:
The provider shall submit documentation showing that she has completed the remainder of her required training hours prior to the renewal of the license.

An unannounced full renewal inspection was conducted today. The provider was caring for two children, totaling 8 points. The children were observed being fed, napping, and interacting with the provider. Pleasant, welcoming interactions between the provider and both children in care were observed throughout the course of this inspection. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-A
Description: Based on a review of administrative records, it was determined that the provider has not conducted an emergency evacuation drill each month. Evidence: The provider did not conduct an evacuation drill during the months of January and February, 2016.

Plan of Correction: I will do a drill every month.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-960-E
Description: Based on observations, it was determined that one child's bottles of breast milk were not stored as required. Evidence: One infant's two bottles of breast milk were not stored inside the refrigerator until ready for use. These bottles were stored on the kitchen counter.

Plan of Correction: I will place the bottles inside the refrigerator when not in use.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B
Description: Based on a review of children's records, it was determined that one record was not complete. Evidence: Child record #2 does not include a physical exam report.

Plan of Correction: I have asked the parents for the physical many times. I will ask them again tonight and set a firm due date for the paperwork.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-690-E
Description: Based on observations, it was determined that the diaper trash can is not properly equipped. Evidence: There is no liner inside the diaper trash can.

Plan of Correction: I will put a liner inside the trash can.

Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-5-a
Description: Based on a review of background checks, it was determined that the provider has not conducted all required background checks for a family member living in the home. Evidence: The provider has not submitted a Child Protective Services (CPS) registry check for one family member living in the home. This person came of age to require a CPS registry check in July, 2015.

Plan of Correction: I have the CPS registry check request form filled out. I will submit it today.
