An unannounced renewal inspection was done today March 18, 2016 beginning at 9:45 AM and ending at 1: 45 PM. There were five children in care today when the inspector arrived. An additional child arrived shortly thereafter and points were then at fourteen . Points were in compliance. The children were observed during learning time about the dentist. They all received new toothbrushes, then brushed their teeth. They also colored a worksheet to go along with the lesson. Other table activities were done as well as singing and music. Lunch was observed which was in compliance with USDA. Napping was also observed. The children did not play outside today as the play equipment had just been painted but it was inspected by the inspector. No medications are given nor field trips taken. The provider has outside resource people come and visit. Children and household files were reviewed today. The violation was discussed with the provider today as well as corrective action. Description: During the inspection the provider did not dispose of a diaper in the proper manner. Evidence: 1. During the inspection the LI observed the provider changing a diaper and afterwards the provider placed the soiled diaper on the chair. It was not disposed of at that time in a storage system that is foot operated.

Plan of Correction: The provider indicated she would use the foot operated disposal system for soiled diapers. This will be used whether it is a pull up or diaper.
