- Technical Assistance:
1. Reviewed 530.F, which requires soft bedding, pillows, and stuffed toys to be removed from the crib when the infant falls asleep, to prevent suffocation and the risk of SIDS.
Conducted unannounced monitoring inspection 11:10am-12:30pm. Observed 4 children = 13 points with the Provider. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. The children were having indoor/outdoor free-play, watching an educational video, washing hands, and eating lunch during the inspection. Lunch served: Baked chicken, carrots, okra, rice, and milk. Interactions between the Provider and children was kind, patient, and nurturing. The daycare areas of the home were found to be clean, safeguarded appropriately, and sufficiently supplied with toys and equipment for the children. The Provider is currently certified in First Aid/CPR. No medications administered. Emergency preparedness plan was in compliance. Required documents were posted.
