Conducted an unannounced renewal inspection 1:20-2:20pm. Observed 6 children = 17 points with the Provider + Assistant #1. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. Children were napping during the inspection. The Provider was patient with and attentive to the needs of a child who was having difficulty going to sleep. The daycare areas of the home were found to be clean and well supplied with toys and equipment for the children. A shade structure has been installed over the outdoor play area. The menu was posted and changes noted appropriately. Lunch served: chicken/cheese/ bean burritos, carrots, broccoli, and water/milk. New high chairs and feeding table have been purchased, as has a locked box on the wall for first aid supplies and medications. No medications reported to be on-site for children enrolled, and no staff are currently trained to give medicine (MAT). The Provider has obtained the required annual child development training, and is currently certified in First Aid/CPR. Emergency preparedness plans and supplies in compliance. Required documents posted. The Provider has made a good effort to improve compliance and reduce violations. Questions about this inspection may be directed to: email@example.com
