54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.
- Technical Assistance:
Inspector explained the Provider only needs to submit the actual renewal application. The entrire packett of clearances and zoning forms do not have to be resubmitted.
An unannounced morning inspection was conducted from 915 to 1015 AM. There were 5 children present with the Provider for a total of 11 points. The Provider was observed interacting with the children and helping with games. The Provider has organized the paperwork, kept files in central location, has a complete parent board that includes past inspection, fire drills, and menu. Please call with questions 703-479-4679
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-730-D Description: Based on observation, the Provider did not keep household's over the counter medication in a locked place as evident by cough medication observed on the Provider's bedside table. Plan of Correction: Removed during the inspection and I will lock up.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B Description: Based on record review and staff interviews, the Provider has not obtained and maintained complete children's files. Evidence: 1. Child #1's file does not include a physical record and immunization report. 2. Child # 2 is a family member's child and the Provider does not have a file for this child. Plan of Correction: I have asked the parents for this info and I will continue to request.
