An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 11:00 - 1:25. There were 9 children = 22 points present with two caregivers. When Ms. Medina's child joined the group there were 10 children = 24 points. The children were observed sitting at a table coloring and doing a puzzle. The children then washed their hands and sat down to wait for lunch. After lunch the children sat down and waited for nap time. The exit interview was conducted with Ms. Medina. The violation notice will be e mailed for completion.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-770 Description: Based on observation, the licensee does not have a working battery operated radio. Evidence - The radio did not work when it was turned. Plan of Correction: Buy you a new radio
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-780-B Description: Based on a review of children's records, the licensee did not get an annual update for one child. Evidence - The record for child #4 had not been updated since 7/20/2015. Plan of Correction: Speak will [sic] parents. to sing [sic]
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-880 Description: Based on observation, the licensee did not serve a meal that meets the United States Department of Agriculture guidelines. Evidence - There was not an ounce and 1/2 of protein provided for each child and there was not 1/4 cup of vegetables provided for each child and there was not 4 ounces of milk provided for each child. Based on information from the licensee, the children are not provided second helpings on the food provided. Plan of Correction: * 6 ounces i'll buy glasses for children. *I'll be sure to put the amounts of vegetable. proteins and carbohydrates in the menu right.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-50-A Description: Based on observation, the attendance record for 8/2/2016 was not complete. Evidence - The attendance record listed only 7 of the nine children present today. Plan of Correction: I wrote at that time

Evidence - The records for the following children were missing the information listed. Child #2 - No insurance policy number. Child #3 - no insurance policy number & no last name for emergency contact #1. Child #4 - No insurance policy number. Child #5 - No address for emergency contact #2. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-280 Description: Based on observation, the licensee does not keep all cleaning products inaccessible to children. There were several cleaning products observed over the diaper changing mat including Lice Spray, hand sanitizer and cleaning wipes. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-580-C Description: Based on observation, the licensee did not provide a variety of types of activities for the children, including active and quiet indoor activities. Evidence - The types of activities provided from11:00 - 12:00 were all sitting activities. The children sat and colored, sat and waited for lunch and sat and waited for nap time.
