54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 3:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. with the provider. Four children, ages 8 months, 9 months, 14 months, and 3 years old, were in the care of the provider for a total of 14 points. Children were observed playing with the pretend kitchen, playing with Play-Doh, crawling, and eating afternoon snack. Afternoon snack today was animal crackers and watermelon. Required information was posted. The last emergency escape drill was 9/7/16. The last shelter-in-place drill was 8/4/16. The weatherband radio and battery operated flashlights were present and accessible. The provider is current in first aid, CPR, and medication administration training (MAT). One provider's record and one child's record were both reviewed and complete. There were no medications to review.
