An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on October 25, 2016. The provider and 2 assistants were present with 7 children. (20 points) Two more children were expected to arrive by noon. During the inspection one of the infants was held and the second infant was in an infant seat. The 2 toddlers and 3 preschool age children played with toys and colored pictures. It was noted that the back yard had been fenced and several trees had been removed. The youngest children play on the enclosed deck. Consultation was provided on storage of soiled cloth diapers as referenced in standard 690.F. A recommendation will be made to renew the license. Inspection began: 10:00 Inspection ended: 11:20
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B Description: Based on a review of 4 children's records, the family day home did not have complete emergency contact information on file for 2 children. Evidence: The record for Child # 2 did not include the address for an emergency contact listed, and did not include the name, address and phone number for a second emergency contact. The record for Child # 3 did not include the name, address and phone number for a second emergency contact. Plan of Correction: Parents will be requested to provide information within 24 hours.
