National fingerprinting background check requirements go into effect on 9/30/17.
An unannounced full renewal inspection was conducted today. The provider and two assistant caregivers were caring for 10 children, totaling 26 points. This inspection was completed in the middle of the day. The children were observed eating lunch, playing with toys, and preparing for their afternoon nap. The children were served pasta, corn, meatballs, oranges, and milk for lunch today. This inspection was completed between approximately 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm. Thank you for meeting with me today. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B Description: Based on a review of children's records, it was determined that one record was not complete. Evidence: Child record #4 does not include a signed "Declaration of Liability Insurance" document. Plan of Correction: I will ask the parent to sign the form.
Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-3-d Description: Based on a review of repeat background checks, it was determined that one background check has not been repeated within the past 3 years. Evidence: The Child Protective Services (CPS) registry check for one adult family member living in the home expired on 12/4/15. Plan of Correction: I will submit the CPS background check request this week.
