Today an unannounced monitoring visit was conducted with the Provider. This visit took place in the morning, between 9:am-10:15. There were 2 children with the Provider for a total of 8 points within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed having morning free play, blocks, reading a story, and actively engaged in gross motor activities. Positive interactions were observed during this inspection. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-420-A
Description: Based on observation and interview with the Provider, the main childcare area used by children shall be lighted with natural or electric lighting. Evidence: Upon arrival, the children were playing in the basement main childcare area however the light bulbs did not not work and due to the location of the windows did not provide enough natural lighting for the children.

Plan of Correction: Provider stated that she will replace the light bulbs immediately, and usually opens the windows to allow natural lighting to come in. Provider added a lamp from upstairs to the area.

Description: Based on observation and interview with the provider, the license was not posted on the licensed premises. Evidence: Upon arrival, the current licensed was not posted.

Plan of Correction: Provider stated that she keep the license in a folder. Provider posted the license during this inspection.
