22VAC40-191 Background Checks for Child Welfare Agencies
Today an unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted beginning at 1:30pm. There were 9 children present today (27 points) with the Provider and assistant caregiver. Children's and adult records were reviewed for updated required information and annual training hours. Children were napping during this inspection. This inspection, including the exit interview, ended at 2:30pm. Should you have any questions, please call.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-100-A Description: Based on record review, one child (#6) is missing documentation of a physical examination within 30 days of their start date. Evidence: Child #6 has a start date of 9/19/16. There is no physical examination documentation in their record. Plan of Correction: The parent has been trying to get this documentation to me. I will remind them again that I need to have it for their child's record.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-530-F Description: Based on direct observation, two infants are sleeping in cribs with soft bedding. Evidence: One child who is 9 months old was observed sleeping with a large stuffed animal. One child who is 15 months was observed sleeping with a folded comforter and a pillow. Plan of Correction: I will remove all these from the cribs and inform the parents that their children cannot sleep with them.
