Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was completed on 11/29/16. There were five children present with the provider and assistant supervising at arrival of the inspector. The point total was 15. A sixth child arrived at 11:00 am and increased the point total to 17. Twelve children's records were reviewed for updates only. The provider's record, one household member's record, and three assistant's records were reviewed. The provider had completed 40 hours of professional development training during the 2016 calendar year. The inspector arrived at the provider's home at 9:30 am and departed at 1:00 pm. The children were observed during free play times with various activities, during lunch, and during preparation for nap. There was discussion with the provider about: updating background checks in March/April/May of 2017 (completed before three years since the date on the last check), the dates on the wood burning stove inspection, and dating the November fire drill.
