7 children present with the provider and an assistant at this renewal Inspection. A total of 18 points at this inspection. Observed the children playing with blocks, eating lunch, coloring pictures and getting ready for nap. The provider has lots of toys for the children to play with. A baby is busy trying to crawl an the assistant is playing with her on the floor. Lots of interaction observed between caregivers and children. This visit was started at 10:45 and ended at 12: 30. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-C Description: The provider was not able to find the emergency drill records. Evidence: Based on the interview with the provider she has conducted emergency drills every moth and had them written down, she took them off the clip boards and could not locate the paper during the visit. Plan of Correction: I will make sure I file my emergency drills
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-100-A Description: The provider failed to get a physical from one child. Evidence: Based on the review of 3 children's files ,one child, child A, is missing a physical the child started in care on 11/2/2016.. Plan of Correction: I will ask the parent for a copy of her physical again.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-210-A Description: The provider and assistant did not complete the total number of training hours for this licensing period. Evidence: The provider and assistant have a certificate for 6 hours of training from a local agency and 4 hours from the local coalition. Plan of Correction: We will make sure we take the 16 hours of training next year and that I file the certificated right away
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-690-D Description: The provider failed to have a diaper changing pad that is non absorbent. Evidence: Based on the review of the physical plant the diaper changing pad on the changing table has torn plastic leaving the foam exposed . Plan of Correction: I will remove that diaper changing mat.
