54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.
- Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance today included vitamins as medication at licensed family day homes.
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 12:30 - 2 pm. There were four children present with the provider and assistant for 13 points. I observed children eating lunch, playing with toys, crawling and creeping, and listening to a soothing music while preparing for nap. Record keeping was well-organized. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-530-B Description: During today's inspection, two crib sheets were observed not to have a tight fitting bottom cover as required. Evidence:. Two crib sheets were loose Plan of Correction: The provider replaced the sheets with tighter sheets during the inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-1-c Description: During a review of record keeping, a repeat background check was not available. Evidence: All background checks were present today except for the provider's criminal background check Plan of Correction: It was done in 2015. I will look for it but if I can't find it, I will send for another one.
