54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.
An unannounced monitoring/renewal inspection was conducted today at 8:40am. There were 5 children (13 points) directly supervised by 2 staff. The home, 2 staff records, 1 child?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed playing freely and eating snack. Diapering procedures were also observed. There was an abundant supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-320-B Description: Based on observation, the facility failed to ensure that unused electrical outlets have protective covers to prevent access to children under 5 years of age. Evidence: Observed 2 uncovered electrical outlets in the upstairs family room where children were hanging out before heading down to the basement play room. Plan of Correction: Corrected at the time of the inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-1-c Description: Based on review, the provider failed to ensure that repeat checks (sworn disclosure, central registry and criminal history) are completed before three years since the dates of the last checks. Evidence: Reviewed 2 staff records and found that Staff 1's last CPS check was not processed and has no date. Plan of Correction: Will correct today.
