The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection on Tuesday, February 07, 2017 from 10:10am to 11:45am. This inspection focused on the main areas of previous non-compliance. The children were observed playing with toys, and going outside. Today, there were nine children, totaling 23 points, present with two caregivers. Lunch consisted of: grilled cheese, peaches, grilled cheese and milk. Three children?s records, two caregivers? records and one household record were reviewed during the inspection. Medication is not being administered and was reviewed. The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. Last emergency drill: 1/17/2017 Last shelter-in-place drill: 1/17/2017 Emergency Plan Reviewed: 7/17/2015 The violations from the previous inspections were checked for corrections. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-800-B Description: Based on a review of documentation on 02/07/2017, the provider did not ensure that the emergency plan was reviewed at least annually and the review was documented in writing. EVIDENCE: The most recent review of the emergency plan was dated 7/17/2015 Plan of Correction: Corrected on site. Review signed during inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-100-A Description: Based on a review of children's records on 02/07/2017, the provider did not ensure one of three records reviewed contained a physical within 30 days after the first day of attendance. EVIDENCE: The record of Child #3, who started at the family day home on 02/01/2016, did not contain documentation of a physical examination. Plan of Correction: The parent brought the physical, will look for it. If can't find it will get copy from parent today.
