- Technical Assistance:
An unannounced renewal inspection was made on 2/28/17 at approximately 9:30 a. m. and concluded at 11:30 a. m. The inspector met with the provider and Family Day Home standards were reviewed. The following staff-to-child ratios and activities were observed today. There were eight family day home children present with points equaling 16 with two caregivers providing supervision. The provider went over numbers and the children were identifying the numbers. The children were observed doing a movement/exercise activity, and then they discussed the letter "R" and the sound it makes. The provider read the children "Hop on Pop" story by Dr. Seuss and they then drew a picture of the book cover with colored pencils. After their daily activities, they went outside to play. Two children records were reviewed. Caregiver records were reviewed. One observation conducted. Conversations were held with several children and two caregivers. No medications are given. The last emergency monthly evacuation drill was conducted on 2/21/17. Two shelter-in-place drills were conducted in 2016.
