The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced renewal inspection on Monday, February 27, 2017 from 10:00 am to 11:50 am to determine compliance with licensing standards. During this inspection, there was five children present totaling 10 points being supervised by the caregiver. The children were observed in the designated area playing with age appropriate toys, engaged in active play with their peers, participating in a numbers activity with staff, completing a numbers worksheet with caregiver, and participating in interactive song activities identifying colors and encouraging recognition and movement of various body parts.
The licensing inspector completed observation of the children completing floor puzzles and taking breaks to the bathroom. The children's lunch menu today consisted of bagel bites pizza, carrots, apples, and goldfish. The designated area for childcare was deemed appropriate and equipped with age appropriate equipment and materials to meet the needs of the children. The outdoor playground area for the children was inspected today as well. During the inspection, the licensing inspector interacted with staff and children when appropriate. The licensing inspector observed the required postings to include license, prior inspection summary, and menu which were deemed in compliance. The first aid kit and emergency supplies, posted emergency contacts, fire and shelter-in-place drills, emergency preparedness plan were inspected. During this inspection, there were four children's records, and one caregiver record reviewed. The required postings were reviewed and deemed in compliance. The violations from the previous inspection were checked for corrections. Medication is not being administered and transportation is not provided by the provider at this time. The provider is strongly recommended to continue compliance with licensing standards. A license renewal application has been submitted by the provider at this time.
