Comments:
Thank you for your assistance during today's unannounced renewal inspection conducted from 11:10 AM to 2:40 PM. Today, there were ten children in care, ages infancy through four years (26 points) with two to three caregivers. I viewed staffing, supervision, interactions with children, lunch, infant feeding, equipment, activities daily routines, posted information, injury records, emergency supplies and drill records, four records for children, five records for caregivers/residents, four pet records, chimney inspection record, indoor and outdoor areas. The older children enjoyed sledding and outdoor play in the snow covered yard. A large selection of age appropriate toys and equipment were accessible indoors. The caregivers were observed providing positive guidance and responded to individual needs for care and attention. We discussed training requirements, and updated record needs for this year. No violations observed at this time. Issuance of a regular license will be recommended. Let me know if you need assistance. 540/430-9259
