Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today, March 16, 2017 to determine the providers' compliance with the Licensing standards. The inspector arrived at approximately 2:30 pm and concluded the inspection at 4:10 pm. Currently there are no family day home children enrolled. Upon the Inspector's arrival the provider and four of her own children were in attendance. one family day home child and two of the provider's own children were in care with the one provider. The provider requested a modification in the age of children on the license. The provider is requesting children thirteen months through twelve years. The family day home has age appropriate materials to service children within this age range. All areas of the home were inspected. The home has age and stage appropriate toys and materials in operable condition for children in care. The first aid kit along with non-medical emergency supplies, and the emergency preparedness plan were all reviewed and checked for compliance. The family day home had the daily schedule, menu, License, and emergency numbers posted. A smoke detectors and fire extinguisher were observed. One caregiver record and one child's record were reviewed during today's inspection. Medication is not being administered. The provider has current CPR and first aid training. The last documented emergency evacuation drill was held on 02/14/2017. The two required shelter-in-place drills were completed on 10/17/2016 and 11/01/2016. Transportation is provided. Per the provider: no pets The violations from the previous inspection on December 13, 2016 were checked for corrections. There were no repeat violations found during today's inspection.
