Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted with provider and two assistants. There were 12 children present, ranging in age from 1 year to 4 years old, with three providers. The children had a snack of goldfish and apple juice before having free play with age appropriate toys. One child arrived off the school bus at 4:15 and started homework. Two staff files and two caregiver files were reviewed - reminder all caregivers need a minimum of 16 hours annual training each year. Two new children's files were reviewed and are in compliance. Time of today's inspection: 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please call me if you have any questions 540-219-4122 or e-mail tara.barton@dss.virginia.gov.
