Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed on 3/20/2017. There were five children present with the provider and assistant supervising. The point total was 11. Five children's records were reviewed. The provider, household, and assistant's records were all reviewed. The inspector arrived at the provider's home at 10 am and departed at 1:45 pm. The children were observed during outside time, during free play time, during lunch, and during nap. Discussion with the licensee about: record keeping, obtaining backgrounds for staff, and TB screening are required every two years.

Description: Based on observation of the outdoor play area, the licensee failed to ensure that a non climbable barrier at least four feet high such as but not limited to a fence or impenetrable hedge shall surround the outdoor play areas located within 30 feet of a drowning hazards. Evidence: 1. The inspector observed a drowning hazard that was located within 12 feet from the play area and at the base of a hill . The fence that enclosed the playarea is climbable and posed a hazard to the children in care.

Plan of Correction: The licensee will add a non climbable fence to the area.
