Comments:
An unannounced annual subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted on Monday, April 17, 2017 from approximately 11:00am to 12:50pm. In attendance was one non-resident child. The child was being supervised by one caregiver during the inspection. There was a total of two points based on the child?s age. During the inspection, the licensing inspector observed the provider and child playing musical chairs, dancing, exercising, reading books and playing games. Later the provider and child washed hands and ate lunch. Lunch consisted of hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, green beans, applesauce and milk. A walk through of the home was conducted. The child care areas were filled with supplies and toys for the children. Additional subsidy requirements that were not addressed during the monitoring inspection were reviewed. If you have any questions about this inspection, please contact the licensing inspector, Lynn Powers at (804) 662-9790.

Violations:
Standard #: VENDHOM-000-029-B-5
Description: Based on review of the emergency preparedness plan, the provider did not ensure lock down procedures were included in the plan. Evidence: During the inspection, the licensing inspector reviewed the emergency preparedness plan. The plan did not address lock down procedures.

Plan of Correction: Per provider - I will review sample lock down procedures from the internet and add a lock down plan to the emergency preparedness plan.
