54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10:00am-10:50am. There were 9 children (21 points) directly supervised by 2 staff. The home, 2 staff records, 2 children?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no new medications on site today. Children were observed playing freely and reading books. There was an abundant supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. The home was clean and organized. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-800-A Description: Based on review, the provider failed to ensure that the emergency preparedness plan is reviewed/updated on an annual basis. Evidence: Reviewed the emergency preparedness plan and found that it was not updated in the last 12 months. Plan of Correction: Corrected during the inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-180-A Description: Based on review, the provider failed to ensure that each caregiver has a current Report of Tuberculosis Screening form in accordance with the requirements, every two years from the date of the first screening or more frequently as recommended by a physician. Evidence: Reviewed 2 caregiver records and found that Caregiver 2 did not have current documentation of a TB screening. Plan of Correction: Provider will ensure that (they) have the TB test performed prior to May 31, 2017.
