An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on May 4th 2017 between 11:45am and 2:00pm. There were 7 children in the direct care of 2 staff members. Children were observed playing outside, washing hands, eating lunch, singing, and taking a nap. The home is clean and organized. The space offers plenty of materials, toys, and books for the children. The household records, staffing records, evacuation drills, shelter in place drills, physical space, first aid kit, the emergency plan, and supervision were observed and inspected. Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-1-c Description: Based on record review, 2 of 3 staffing records and 2 of 3 household records did not have the required repeat background checks within three years of the most recent checks. Evidence: Staff #1 and Staff #3 last central registry checks were dated 4/30/2014 and the last sworn statement of affirmation was dated 3/3/2014. Household member #1 last documented central registry check was dated 2/18/2011 and Household member #2 last central registry check was dated 1/16/2014 Plan of Correction: I will work on them today and send them out tomorrow.
